Tamdeen Youth Foundation, represented by its founder, Mr. Hussein Al Suhaily, is participating in the 68th Session of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW68), held in New York. The session brings together representatives of member states, UN agencies and NGOs accredited to the Economic and Social Council from all around the world.
This year's theme focuses on "Accelerating the achievement of gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls through sustainable, resilient and innovative solutions for accomplishing the 2030 Agenda and ending poverty".
The 68th session looks at the challenges faced by women and girls, best practices and innovative solutions to empower them, particularly in light of the difficult conditions that countries such as Yemen are going through.
Al Suhaily explained that the participation of Tamdeen Youth Foundation in this event comes from its belief in the importance of women's empowerment. He emphasized TYF's efforts to exchange experiences with international and regional organizations, learning about best practices in women's empowerment, contributing to finding solutions to the challenges faced by women and girls in Yemen, and enhancing cooperation among all stakeholders to invest in women for sustainable development in Yemen.
The current session of the Commission on the Status of Women (11-22 March) will include a general debate, ministerial roundtables and interactive and parallel events.
Discussions will focus on measures and investments that can end poverty among women and promote gender equality.
