Tamdeen Youth Foundation organises an exhibition for "Women Entrepreneurs" in Al Kawkhah
Al- Kawkhah district in Al-Hudaydah governorate today hosted a special exhibition for "Women Entrepreneurs" as a culmination of (Providing Toolkits for Beneficiaries of Technical Training Courses for 50 Women Head of Households in Al Kawkhah District, Al Hudaydah Governorate – Yemen) funded by the United Nations Mission to support the Hudaydah Agreement (UNMHA) and implemented by the Tamdeen Youth Foundation (TYF).
At the opening of the exhibition, the governor of the province, Mr Al-Hassan Taher, affirmed the local authority's support for such projects that create job opportunities and productive families.
He and the directors of the executive offices in the governorate were introduced to the exhibition, which included sail weaving products, incense and perfumes extracted from sea waste.
They all expressed their admiration for the products they saw, which reflected the creativity of the beneficiaries and their ability to produce and establish their own projects.
Mohammed Ismail Khan, director of UNAMA's office in Mekha, said: "Women are the most affected by the conflict and must be at the forefront of peacebuilding efforts in Yemen."
He pointed out that this exhibition stimulates women's entrepreneurship and enhances the role of women and their active participation in order to achieve peace and security in Hudaydah.
For his part, the Director of Tamdeen Youth Foundation, Mr Nashwan Al-Qubati, praised the fruitful cooperation with the United Nations Mission to Support the Hudaydah Agreement (UNMHA) in empowering women and providing them with the necessary skills and tools to establish their own projects and develop their entrepreneurial businesses.
The Director of the Foundation added: I extend my sincere congratulations and congratulations to the beneficiaries, who today present their products and creations, to start a new phase in entrepreneurship and contribute to the recovery and development of their country.
On behalf of the beneficiaries participating in the exhibition, Ms Ashjan Nasser delivered a speech in which she said: I stand before you today on behalf of my colleagues to showcase our products after we gained professional and life skills and were provided with the necessary tools to start our own businesses.
