Corporate Social Responsibility: New study assesses private sector participation in humanitarian and development response in Yemen
As part of the strategy to localize and improve response mechanisms in Yemen, and with funding from the Danish International Development Agency (DANIDA), the Danish Refugee Council (DRC) and Tamdeen Youth Foundation (TYF), the study "Assessing the Reality of Corporate Social Responsibility in Yemen: Private Sector Engagement in Yemen's Humanitarian and Development Response".
The study provides a comprehensive analysis of private sector CSR initiatives and practices in Yemen, identifying internal and external challenges and opportunities.
The study is the first of its kind in Yemen and represents a valuable addition to efforts to achieve a more sustainable and locally-led response, providing practical recommendations for activating corporate social responsibility and enhancing the role of the private sector in responding to the humanitarian and development challenges facing Yemen.
