Tamdeen Youth Foundation (TYF) has been granted observer status to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). 

The Conference of the Parties (COP) Secretariat informed TYF of its observer status, which allows it to participate in the activities and sessions of the upcoming COP sessions to discuss climate issues.

Amr Al-Ghalibi, Director of Programmes at the Foundation, expressed his delight at this achievement and said: ‘This status is a recognition of the Foundation's dedication to climate action and its contribution to addressing pressing environmental issues.’

Al Ghalbi added: ‘We are committed to working with all partners and supporters to contribute to addressing the challenges of climate change and building a more sustainable future for Yemen. We will also redouble our efforts to promote awareness of the importance of climate action and develop innovative projects to mitigate and adapt to the effects of climate change
