The displaced people in “Quhzah camp” in Ibb city say: “When will this war stop?
The bitterness of displacement is known only to those who have had to it. When you leave your home, and your family and relatives are separated. When you leave the door of your home opened and escape from the hell of war without being able to look back, to have a farewell look at the place and friends behind you.
44 families have displaced from their homes in Al-Hudaydah and Lahj cities to the open in Quhzah hamlet in Al Dhehar district in Ibb city. Weak tents, scenes of grief, miserable childhood, and people no longer know their link after they left their homes by force, as they are full of war dust and have only their grief.
In “Quhzah camp”, the dreams of 45 children are only for a loaf of bread and a drink of water and as for education, they were deprived of it because of displacement. About the young and old people, they are looking forward to an end to war and hope to return home.
Although five years have passed since the war in Yemen, the wave of displacement continues from the conflict areas. Since last April, Tamdeen Youth Foundation TYF and through its Displaced Persons Rapid Response Project RRM which is funded by the United Nations Population Fund #UNFPA, has managed to reach about 4,000 newly displaced families to Ibb and Al Dhalea cities and to meet their emergency basic needs.
