Taiz ... Tamdeen Youth Foundation Celebrates Its Tenth Anniversary

Today in Taiz, Tamdeen Youth_Foundation celebrated its tenth anniversary in the presence of Sheikh Aref Jamel, Undersecretary of Taiz Governorate, Engineer Rashad Al Akhali, Undersecretary of Taiz Governorate for Coastal Affairs, Mr. Abdu Ali, Director General of Social Affairs and Labor, General Directors of Al Ma'afer, Al Mawasit, Al Mudhaffar and Salh districts, a number of general directors of the governorate's executive offices, representatives of CSOs, international organizations, the private sector and women and youth leaders.
At the celebration, Eng. Rashad Al-Akhali, Undersecretary of Taiz Governorate, congratulated Tamdeen Youth Foundation's leadership and all its staff on its tenth anniversary. He praised TYF's efforts and effective contribution with its young and creative energies in helping to alleviate the suffering of people in various governorates, including Taiz, and in various humanitarian fields and aspects, as well as qualifying and training young people for job opportunities.
"Tamdeen Youth Foundation has implemented tremendous humanitarian and development projects that proofs TYF's giving and active role in serving human and society." Al Akhali said.
On behalf of the local authority, he stressed to provide all facilities for development and humanitarian work and efforts implemented by Tamdeen Youth Foundation and other organizations and foundations in order to achieve the public interest.
Dr. Ibrahim Al Musalami, Director of Taiz Office, gave a welcoming speech in which he gave an introductory overview of TYF's programs and interventions, and its role in the humanitarian and development aspects. He reviewed TYF's strategic direction and future programs. He also thanked all donors, partners and local authorities.
" We emphasize the focus on socioeconomic development, conservation of the environment, and enhancement and development of youth capacities by intensifying training and rehabilitation in technical and vocational fields and disciplines.
Al Musalami saluted all TYF's staff who are making their efforts and energies to improve people's lives, participate seriously in building and developing society, and move forward with Tamdeen toward a brighter future.
He pointed out that women have a special place in TYF's work. They benefit from its projects and services, as it works to empower them, improve their living conditions and safeguard their dignity.
Mr. Hussein Al Suhaily, Founder of Tamdeen Youth Foundation, delivered a speech in which he said: "Today we celebrate our achievements and remember many challenges and difficulties. We are proud of everyone who shared our hope and work, faced difficulties and made successes with us, whether they are from our main staff, field workers, volunteers or beneficiaries of our projects, and all partners, each of whom is an integral part of our success.
He also mentioned TYF's ten-year achievements in the targeted areas of over 107 projects, covering 12 Yemeni governorates, benefiting nearly four million people. He stressed that this would not have been possible without the interest in creating a real partnership that TYF sought with organizations, local authorities and government agencies, which has resulted in such great success.
He also noted the importance of coordination and integration with government agencies, local authorities and the private sector to raise the efficiency of the humanitarian response and focus on the areas of economic empowerment and sustainable development, and contribute to conserving the environment and coping with climate change.
TYF's Founder thanked the local community, the local authority, directors of districts, executive agencies and service institutions, and all partners and donors with whom TYF integrates in humanitarian and development action, and in achieving common objectives.
A number of speeches were delivered by representatives of international and local organizations, all of which praised the efforts of Tamdeen Youth Foundation, and pointed to the importance of creating a real partnership between various organizations and NGOs to improve the efficiency of humanitarian response and development programs, and overcome the challenges and obstacles they face.
A documentary report on Tamdeen Youth Foundation's activities and success stories was presented.
TYF's leadership honored outstanding partners, pioneering community initiatives, and actors supporting its work.
