Project Summary:
Improving food security and livelihoods in Tuban and Tur Al Bahah in Lahj Governorate. This will be by supporting value chains, providing agricultural and animal inputs to beneficiaries, training them on modern farming methods, improving agricultural production, and ruminants and livestock fattening methods in field schools, as well as distributing tomato seeds, cereals, beans, fertilizers, distillation irrigation systems, animal feed and molasses.
Overall Objective:
Improving food security and livelihoods and enhancing rural resilience for 8,922 beneficiaries in Tuban and Tur Al Bahah, Lahj Governorate.
Project Outputs:
- Distributing tomato seeds to 1150 beneficiaries.
- Distributing animal feed to 5210 beneficiaries.
- Distributing cereal seeds (corn, millet, beans) to 3800 beneficiaries.
- Distributing distillation irrigation systems to 15 beneficiaries.
- Establishing 32 field schools for 800 beneficiaries and training them on modern farming methods, developing agricultural production, and ruminants and livestock fattening methods
- Supporting 5 dairy products home centers.
- Supporting and training 823 beneficiaries in dairy production .
